The day our letters came....

We have our first letters back from our buddies at Point View school. We are excited to hear all about them.

Buddy reading with room 15

We are buddy reading with a different class each day this week for book week. Yesterday we read with room 14, today we read with room 15. It is cool reading with the juniors.

Bruce Potter visit

Bruce came to visit our school as part of book week. He has illustrated lots of books from cartoon books to more realistic books like the whale rider. Last year he wrote his own book and song- Penny the prolific pooing cow. Bruce starts his stories by writing it as a song. Music helps him write.  Lots of us have read lots of his books like Kaha the Kea. 

This year he has started creating a doodle bug book with doodle bug diving into this doodles. Bruce asked us for some ideas and he showed us how easy it was to create a doodle out of them.
