When the cat awock from his nap saw the fat rat on his bat,
so he lifted his bad so the rat would fall flat.
Then the cat hit the rat with his bat.

ECCS

Yesterday I went to ECCS on the bus. Once we got there we got our tarpolian up and waited for the year fives to start. When the years 5 girls started, the boy year fives had to wait for a while. Then it was us. I was nervous to start. The girl years 6's went and the year 6 boys had to wait for awhile. Then it was the start and we were off. I had a good start but I came out too fast and I was tied with another guy. Then when we got to the hill the guy that was tied with me dropped behind and I had a decent lead. Then this other guy came flying through and he just got in front of me. We came off the final straight and the guy took his shirt off  and I thought 'show off'. As we were coming in I was so tired I could barely move anymore but I kept going and I just made 2nd place. I barely could move at the end. We watched the rest and went back. Caleb got 6th place and everybody was so tired but  we seemed to make the bus loud as on the way back.

The Great Wall Of China

Have you ever wondered why China's population is so massive? Well it's all because of the Great Wall of China.

The Great Wall of China was built by slaves of China. They were forced to leave their homes by the King Qin Shi Huang to build it without pay, which means they can be conspired as slaves. Many of them died due to over-exhaustion, diseases and other factors and when they lifted huge stones that were obviously not of their strength to carry. After they died, the workers were buried in pits around the Great Wall. No person was buried in the Great Wall. A decomposing body inside the wall itself would have caused the wall to deteriorate and fall apart. Many never say their loved ones again. However, Qin Shi Huang was wise to build the Great Wall as the ruthless Mongolians, the Chinese' enemies at that time, could have invaded China easily and killed many more people that anyone could have imagined.

Several walls were being built as early as the 7th century BC; these, later joined together and made bigger and stronger, are now collectively referred to as the Great Wall. Especially famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.

Originally the wall was constructed as a barrier against invaders, such as the Manchus, who were upsetting the known world at one period. Watchtowers were built at regular intervals along the Great Wall and could be up to 40 feet tall. They were used as lookouts and fortresses as well as for housing garrisons of troops and stockpiled supplies. They were also signal stations, where beacons, smoke, or flags were used for messages.Today it is a tourist attraction.

The Great Wall is 8 metres tall and 5.5 metres wide. It is 13,171 miles long and was made from materials such as stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials. The cost of this giant structure in 2013 would be $260 billion. But at that time it cost no money at all as the emperor Qin Shi Huang used slaves and paid them no money.

The Great Wall has often been compared to a dragon. In China, the dragon is a protective divinity and is synonymous with springtime and vital energy. The Chinese believed the earth was filled with dragons which gave shape to the mountains and formed the sinew of the land.

I hope you have learnt more about the Great Wall of China.

The family holiday

In the second holiday of the year my family went to Taupo four two days went to the AC spas. We saw maz and his family. From Taupo to hawks bay it took 2 hours. When we got to Hawkes Bay we went to see mums boy friends family. We first went to see his sister then went to see granny. She was hiliarious. After we went to uncle Robert we got to drive a golf cart then a motorbike.

Then everyone came to granny's house for dinner. There was pies, beef, chips and everything.

Starfish poet by Paige

A lonely starfish sits on the tar up above the from car,
he played golf and got and got a par
she likes to eat jam out of a jar
he saw a sheep and he gave a Barr,
is grandma came and had a cigar,
I had a drink at the bar
then looked up at the star,
my cousin is blah blah blah

The bad news 2010

On Sunday 26th of June there was a big bad storm that hit Hunua. Thunder, lighting, hail and wind all night in the morning me and dad woke up early to feed the new born baby cow. I turned around and I stood there still pointing at the big bank.

My dad sore it to it was the big rain pushed the bank and the road was nearly damage because half the bank was gone it was spread out all over the paddock it nearly squashed the cows and the horse. Well I mean it was in the same paddock but... Ho no. We asked the neighbours if they can move it back he said no but. He can bring it closer to the bank.

Then when he was finished doing the Job we gave him a beer and started to build a fence across. On 2013 me,Ethan and Jake played on it with the toy cars then it started to slip again sssshhhhh don't tell my mum she will be mad.

I hope I have made you sit on the edge of your chair because I am this story about me in 2010 well in three more weeks I will do to best on in the world.

Limerick about a panda

There once was a friendly panda
Who met a girl named Miranda
They drank some soup
Then decided to do their 42nd poop
And flew on a plane to Uganda

When they got to Uganda
They met Bobby the panda
They met a cat
That got scared by a rat
Then the pandas ate the cat on a veranda

Once the pandas had eaten the cat on the veranda
They found the rat
And killed it with a baseball bat
The very friendly pandas
Then flew on a plane away from Uganda

After their trip to Uganda
Miranda and the bobby the panda
Decided to get married
Then they got carried
By the very friendly panda who liked Miranda

Humans and Crocodiles

Humans and Crocidiles
Humans swarm the earth like a bunch of bees
But they still cut down the trees

They have the advantage of the thumb
Which makes them Number 1

They've been here for a while now
But not as long as me with the big sharp teeth

I'm the crocidle
I bite the humans heads off

They are lucky they've got the big brain
They think I've got one as big as a pea

Which is a coincidence when you see the size of me.
